A Throw of Dice

The ancient Hindu epic, the Mahabharata, inspired Franz Osten's stunningly beautiful German-Indian silent film, A Throw of Dice, dating from 1929.
Digitally restored, the film in turn inspired the British-Asian musician, Nitin Sawhney, to create an evocative soundtrack in which Sawhney and his band join the Northern Sinfonia for a live screening.
